56th Street Rod Nationals Hosts a Weekend Full of Activities

Published: July 31, 2025 Updated: July 31, 2025

From July 31 through August 3, more than 10,000 street rods, muscle cars, hot rods, customs, and classics appear in Louisville for the 56th NSRA Street Rod Nationals, and we’re proud to host it all right here at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

With over 300 automotive manufacturers and distributors under one roof, this event is one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the country. Whether you're a die-hard gearhead, just getting into the scene, or tagging along with family, there’s something here for everyone.

Don’t Miss the Autocross

One of the most fun parts of the weekend? NSRA Autocross. It’s tucked behind the Expo Center in Area U (check your event guide for the exact spot), and it's open to anyone with a vehicle registered in the show—no extra fee, no limits on how many times you run.

If your car is newer (1996 or later), you can still get in on the action by registering ahead of time right here.

And if you’d rather ride than drive, stop by the Autocross tent and sign up for a ride-along with a pro driver. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it runs Thursday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

See the Best of the Best at Pro’s Picks

Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Area B, some of the country’s top car builders will pick their favorite rides at the Pro’s Picks, sponsored by Alumicraft Street Rod Grilles.

If you’re participating and think your car stands out, this is your chance to be seen. Judges will pick their top 10 vehicles, which will be recognized during Sunday’s awards ceremony. It’s a great spot for spectators too. Expect some truly next-level builds here.

A Spotlight on Builders at the NSRA Builders Showcase

In the lobby of the Kentucky Exposition Center, don’t skip the NSRA Builders Showcase, a hand-picked group of 40 elite builders from across the U.S. will be showing off their latest work. It’s not just a display, either. Each builder gets one vote to name America’s Elite Builder of the Year, making this award especially meaningful since peers in the industry choose it.
